BIOGRAPHY
Artiste digital et lighting designer, Robert FOLLIE est né en France près de Bordeaux (1979).
Il ouvre sa propre agence de lighting design à 25 ans et a ensuite accompagné de nombreux projets architecturaux et des marques prestigieuses dans l’élaboration et la réalisation de leurs identité.
Cet artiste totalement autodidacte a commencé à explorer, il y a presque 20 ans maintenant, tout les méandres de l’éclairage dynamique et du design digital à travers de nombreuses installations.
Notamment, en créant des concepts inédits, des œuvres “ vivantes”, seuls ou en collaboration avec des designers de renom. Il donne alors vie à des pièces uniques. et des installations sur mesures originales.
Pour lui les technologies et leurs programmations constituent une nouvelle palette (im)materielle à sa disposition pour s’inspirer. Il façonne ces oeuvres grâce à ce (im)materiel prêt à être sculpté, à respirer, à vivre.
Robert FOLLIE was born in 1979 nearby bordeaux, France.
He opens his own lighting design company and studio at 25 years old. Starting from scratch this fully autodidact Artist and Light designer begun to explore lighting design for 20 years now.
During this first period FOLLIE begun to experiment all the aspect of lighting design and artistic installation. Creating unseen concept, light artworks or collaborating with famous designers to bring to “light” some master pieces and bespoke installation.
Then learning from the ground technical aspect, the majors lighting technologies and some craftman technics, FOLLIE today expresses his artistic vision with lights sculptures or bespoke installations using luxurious materials sublimated with lights.
All this concourse FOLLIE to consider light as a "living material to animate, to make breath, to sculpt in order to create an emotion at destination of the audience in any circumstances"
